Force Publique released a fresh track today as a part of a thing they're doing where they release free material on the first of the month. "Fortified" lives up to the hype of last months track "Still Falls Apart" and then adds something new. Think a more punk Crystal Castles. Love it. I can't wait for next month.

Toro y Moi :: Still Sound (Knight Stalker Remix)
Very cool remix from Knight Stalker found its way to my inbox last night. Give them a listen, and support.

Silver Sound Explosion :: Sidekick
Some chilled out beach pop to start the week off. Silver Sound Explosion's washed out reverb instantly has me drawing connections to two of my very favorites, Slow Loris and Beach Fossils. A very good track. Stream some more tracks over at their Soundcloud, and keep up with them on Facebook.

Keep Shelly in Athens :: Running out of You (Solar Bears Remix)
A fresh new mix from Alaska's wonder-duo Solar Bears. This time mixing KSiA's always cool "Running out of You". A very minimal track, but still a great listen.
Don't forget to pick up Solar Bear's She Was Coloured In here.
Here's the video for the original, in case you're interested.

Knight Stalker :: Sincerely Yours
The Los Angeles trio's recent track "Sincerely Yours" made it's way to my inbox today... Some very cool lo-fi indie rock. Grungy vocal paired with melodic guitar set this one apart from the crowd.
Keep it up. Pick up some more Knight Stalker jingles over here.

Daniela & Ben Spector :: Love is
I hate everything, pessimism is my life right now. School is bogus, the people in the school can grow up and get real. I am also tired of all this space period shit. Come the fuck on. Okay, my rant is over. I do not hate Daniela and Ben Spector though, this is actually really awesome music! Daniela has recently release her Debut in Hebrew and Ben has been working as a sound engineer and playing with his synths. These two live together and vwala! You have your creation. This music is a great mix of acoustic folk and ambient electronica, which seems to be exactly what I am looking for lately. Daniela's voice is mesmerizing, I love girl vocalists, its my Achilles heal when it comes to music. The acoustic guitar with pop and crackle electricz make this really cool and I would say the best example is in the track "Mother and Sun." Anywho, this stuff is sweet, and Israeli so that's bad ass in it's own. You can pick up Daniela & Ben Spector's "Love is" over at their Band camp for 25 ILS (Israeli Shekel) I don't know the conversion rate to US dollars, but frankly I don't care either. Peace.

Magic Man :: Real Life Color
Magic Man, an indie act with plenty of character. Magic Man is givin' me goose bumps. I really like this stuff. The drums are encompassed in static and the synthesizer is bright as a bulb. The vocals are reminiscent of Annuals, its almost ridiculous how the harmonies and stanzas are so similar. The drums are electric and vibrant, I would love to here this without the almost hip-hop like beats to see if it could be made even cooler. Annuals uses two drummers and I feel like Magic Man could benefit from that as well. The drums are cool but I would love them to be acoustic, but that is just my preference. I have listened to three tracks of "Real Life Color" and each has been pretty damn good. I would definitely advise you to go check out Magic Man over at theier Band Camp where you can download their release for free.

Thomas Giles :: Pulse
Thomas Giles, the solo project of Prog Metal masterminds Between The Buried And Me's Tommy Rogers is soon to be released on Metal Blade Records, and I am sooo damn stoked! If you have any idea who BTBAM are you know that they don't fuck around when it comes to writing brilliant compositions. You can expect the same from the great front man's upcoming release. The track "Hypoxia" is streaming over at the Metal blade website and you can listen to it here. I really don't want to describe this song for you, first reason is because I am tired and have school tomorrow. Secondly, if you don't like this well, tits or get the fuck out.

Bronze :: Bronze EP
Bronze's fresh EP is out now... "Sunnny Day" has an almost spoken word feeling to it, very early Modest Mouse. A great track by the former Detachment Kit gang + 2. Download the full EP at their bandcamp fo freeee. Listen up, and keep up. Very, very cool.

Wet Years :: No Surf
Some mellow surf rock picked up over from Wet Years' Bandcamp. Appropriately named after a beach in San Diego, "No Surf"'s woozy ambient guitar backed with distanced vocals resonating gets you completely lost, but still keeps up the pace to finish out at around three minutes. Beautifully put together track. I hope to hear more from them soon.
I can't wait for summer.

Gardens & Villa :: Black Hills / Orange Blossom
Gardens & Villa is a four part ensemble from Santa Barbara, CA, and have recently released a 7" on Cool Summer. Black Hills / Orange Blossom was recorded in the studio with Richard Swift and the Garden Boys, and has turned out as nothing short of a masterpiece. Side A's "Black Hills" is a combination of electronic grooves, folk genius, all wrapped up in some wondrous vocals.
The B side has a very different sound to it. Very much electro-funk orientated, but still without loosing Chris' vocal presence. In all, a great 7" for Gardens & Villa. Grab it over at Cool Summer Records above.
