Dead Western Plains :: Alta Remixes

So I posted Dead Western Plains' single 'Alta' about a month ago, and if you don't know, the 7" came out last week. Pick up a copy over here. I recently found some pretty killer remixes. Sweeto, right? You know you love it.

Persona La Ave :: Brothers Was Taken

Persona La Ave has released a few of his half baked but fully captivating gems this past year, and it's about time he had a debut full length, out now on Triple U Tapes. His experimental jams are nothing short of awesome.

Pure Esctasy :: Dream Over

A fresh new track from Pure Esctasy. With an full length on the way, these guys from Austin, TX show no signs of slowing down. Summer may have passed, but this reverb soaked beach masterpiece is something to lose yourself in, and rightfully put you back in that late summa time night crusing mood. Very relavent, keep a lookout, and get on that full length when it comes out!

I Was a Fountain :: Gaze, Hug, Tree Fort

This three track EP from St. Louis' I Was a Fountain is killer in so many ways. Mostly because of it's prevalent use of electronics and sampling,  while still holding onto that sweet acoustic sound I love so much. This is truly a best of both worlds for me. Thank you. Support these guys over at their bandcamp.

Tree Hopping :: The Beat Band

Some Floridian awesomeness. 'The Beat Band' is composed entirely of samples, whether that be live instruments or from other influences. Whoa, ch ch checkit.

Soft Powers :: The Baby Blue House Sessions

Fuzz pop excellence from Atlanta. The still incomplete (however the track titles are up) 'The Baby Blue House Sessions' is fantastic so far. Can't wait for more.

Pandit :: Artichoke

I'm a big fan of Pandit. This track leaked earlier this week, and I'm loving it. Soon coming out with a debut ep February 11, 2011,  featuring Star Slinger, Foxes in Fiction, and a few others.

sail a whale :: a documentation

event - sail a whale from sail a whale on Vimeo.

An interesting video from sail a whale via NMB. Love the song, but does anyone know what the significance of pouring milk on meat has?

Weed Diamond :: Mean It

A fresh new track from the blogroll. Enjoy.

Seastroke :: Outside Into Eyes EP

Some cool new indie pop. The guitars and electronics remind me of Darwin Deez, and yes, that's a good thing. Written and recorded in 2009, and released recently in late 2010, this is Seastroke's debut ep. Buy it over at their bandcamp!

theloveinus :: Evidence of Yesterday : The Dreamafter

Another bandcamp gem. This album is all over the place. Indie influences with dabs of hip-hop, this New York based gang has something fresh and original.
Plus the album art is pretty creative.
Oh, and first post from an outside computer.

James Pants :: Love Kraft

A modern spin on some classic doo-wop. Love it.

Jonquil :: One Hundred Suns

This track recently leaked via NMI, and I'm hooked. Jonquil's sound is fresh, but very familiar at the same time. I haven't quite put my finger on it, yet. Lizen.

Keepaway :: Baby Style EP

Not much to say about these Brooklyn kids. I would definitely recommend this to anyone into Animal Collective.  This EP came out back in April, and I just found it today. Love this track, along with the other three. S.S. Sweet.

Stranj Child :: Stranj Child EP

If you know me at all, you know I'm very picky when it comes to hip hop. Stranj Child hits about every positive in the genre I look for. With old school samples, and obviously drawing on their 90's era influences (my favorite decade for hip hop), Stranj Child's self titled EP is relevant. Sample it here, or get the whole thing for free here on their bandcamp.
