When it comes to post-rock
The American Dollar always leave me wanting more. I just download the Compilation they are giving out for free for the holidays and I love it. It encompasses such a great variety of tones and colors. I am definitely digging the climaxes of these songs, the huge open synthesizer with the simple thin guitar sound give a good balance making it very enjoyable. I am a sucker for ambient stuff as well, and you can bet your money they have that on lock. Acoustic piano and strings are not shy either. The piano does great work under the guitar parts, being dissonant enough to not be the forefront but still being present enough to make an impact.The electronic crackles and pops bring a good new age feel to the music also.
The American Dollar, like a lot of bands lately are doing a name your own price over at their
Bandcamp. Definitely go pick up their music.
